Job Description

The Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer and senior staff member of the Bondurant Chamber of Commerce. This is not a position with the City of Bondurant. This position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the organization, including strategic planning, member services, community outreach, advocacy, and financial management. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to fulfill the mission and goals of the Chamber and drive economic growth and development within the community.

The Executive Director plays a vital role in shaping the future of Bondurant’s business community. Although this is currently a part-time position, this position is possible to be full-time in the future based on recruitment and retention success. In addition to the hourly pay, the Chamber offers a monthly stipend for phone and internet expenses to support the responsibilities of the position.

Essential Job Functions

-Actively promote economic growth in Bondurant by supporting existing businesses and attracting new ones.
-Lead member recruitment, retention, and communication efforts.
-Produce and distribute monthly newsletters and maintain regular and timely communication with members.
-Provide marketing and event support, including managing event planning from inception to execution.
-Utilize social media platforms for community engagement, marketing initiatives, and event promotion.
-Design marketing materials and collateral to support chamber initiatives.
-Maintain member databases, record income, and handle administrative duties.
-Attend various meetings, including government and organizational gatherings, and advocate for the Chamber and its members in legislative matters at local, state, and national levels.
-Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
-Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
-Engage with the community to identify and address relevant issues.
-Collaborate with other Chambers and organizations to further the Chamber’s mission.
-Actively identify and recruit board members.
