Job Description

Under the general direction of the ITS Operations Manager, performs Tier 1 (routine help desk support) and some Tier 2 (specialized, mission-critical help desk support) desktop, laptop, operating system, software, telephony, and mobile offices support of City entities (Fire, Police Department, Library and other City departments) and may perform occasional administrative support, account management and purchasing duties for the department.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in technology related field preferred.

Experience

3 years of help desk or admin support work in an ITS function, general office work with technical support duties or progressively increasing experience in PC hardware and software applications.

Working knowledge in one or more of the following functional areas: server infrastructure and administration, network and telephony infrastructure administration, or enterprise-level workstation support and administration.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems preferred.
