Job Description

Position: Seasonal Production
Team Member
4/19/26

We're looking for a full-time team member to join our Production Team. The Seasonal Production Team member role supports three departments - Painting, Pressroom, and Assembly. This is an entry-level, contract-to-hire role designed as a 120-day trial period. Our goal is to find a long-term team member, and successful candidates will be considered for a permanent, full-time position with full benefits upon completion of the initial contract.

Applicants should be highly detail-oriented and capable of standing for long periods. Responsibilities in painting include painting products, mixing paints to match colors, documenting projects, maintaining schedules, cleaning, and studio upkeep. Occasionally, Painting Team members assist in Assembly. Pressroom duties involve preparing paper for painting, cutting paper, operating and setting up printing presses, sorting painted sheets for proper registration, running automatic paper punches, and assisting with padding for bindery. In Assembly, tasks include product quality inspection, packaging, binding, sorting, and assembling products.

We seek someone with a keen eye for detail, good color perception, a passion for accuracy, and strong math skills (for paper cutting). An enthusiasm for Moglea products and a desire to optimize production processes while working efficiently are important. Painting experience in a work or educational setting is a plus, but not required. Ideal candidates are eager learners who ask lots of questions. Working on the production line involves repetitive, precise motor skills, which can be physically demanding but rewarding. Our Production Team Members- Painters, Assemblers, and Pressmen (Presswomen)- maintain and create the beauty of our line.

Our Company:
Moglea was founded in 2012 and is led by Chad and Meg Gleason. Their artistic stationery and product line are crafted using hand-applied techniques to add unique elements to each item. The production team in their Des Moines, Iowa, studio carefully layers paint on thick sheets of paper before cutting and finishing each piece. These are then foil-stamped, printed, or die-cut on antique presses using traditional letterpress methods.

The Moglea collection is a joyful exploration of composition, pattern, and color. Each new release reflects Chad and Meg's focus on integrating unexpected processes or visual ideas. The result is a product line where each piece feels like a work of art intended to be shared.

Moglea products are sold worldwide, in over 1000 stores, including major retailers such as Anthropologie, CB2, and Barnes & Noble.
