Job Description

The Grants Coordinator at Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation (INHF) is responsible for managing the full grant lifecycle, from researching funding opportunities to writing proposals, preparing supplemental attachments (including maps), coordinating submissions, tracking deadlines, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. This position plays a key role in supporting INHF’s project, operational and programmatic fundraising goals and ensuring the smooth execution of grant-funded projects or programs.

The Grants Coordinator works closely with other INHF staff across all departments including development, land, community conservation and trails, volunteer, communications, and regional land stewardship to carry out a larger vision for programmatic fundraising, identify project funding opportunities, and research potential grant opportunities. This position may involve assisting with or managing Federal grant processes and reporting.

The Grants Coordinator both supervises a summer grants intern and contributes to the development and implementation of the INHF office intern training and education program. With other INHF intern supervisors, this position ensures the intern program is administered in accordance with INHF’s values.
