Job Description
The Communications Coordinator implements ICADV's communications strategy through day-to-day management of digital presence, social media, content creation, internal and external audience communications to raise awareness about sexual and domestic violence. This position creates communication materials including e-newsletters, factsheets, promotional materials, social media campaigns, talking points, donor appeals, agency reports, and website content; supports media relations activities; and provides consultation to member programs on communications strategies while ensuring consistent, trauma-informed, survivor-centered messaging. The Communications Coordinator reports to the Chief Communications Officer and works collaboratively with staff across the organization.
The Communications Coordinator is expected to manage their own schedule, prioritize effectively, and deliver results with oversight and support from the Chief Communications Officer. Day-to-day success depends on a proactive communication style – including reaching out to leadership and colleagues when you need support and/or guidance – and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a hybrid environment.
