I love Adair County for its small towns, rural charm, history and community events!
One of Brenda’s favorite things about DSM is the local community events that bring people together. Adair County, where Brenda lives, offers an abundance of local celebrations and events such as Chuckwagon Days, a 4th of July Celebration and her personal favorite, the Adair County Fair!
To mix things up, Brenda likes to check out the local tourist attractions. A few of her favorites include the Jesse James Historical Park, the Freedom Rock painted by Ray “Bubba” Sorensen II and the Iowa Aviation Museum.
Brenda loves exploring her community and finding local hidden gems whether they be restaurants or shops. When it comes to food, Brenda favors Olive Branch in Greenfield and Chuckwagon Restaurant in Adair. If looking for somewhere to shop, Brenda recommends Greenfield Mercantile and Home Store & More, also located in Greenfield.
