Jack Chimbetete lives in Des Moines, located in the heart of the Greater Des Moines (DSM) region. Jack wears several hats in the workforce as a Business Relations Consultant for CultureAll, the Preident of One Voice DSM and the Founder/President of Africa Live Network. In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing on local golf courses, playing pickup basketball and dining at restaurants he feels reflect the spirit of DSM.

Des Moines is full of kind people and a spirit that empowers others to thrive – that's what inspires me every morning, rain or shine.
One of Jack’s favorite ways to relax in DSM is on one of the many golf courses. With options like the Waveland Golf Course, a wooded course near Downtown Des Moines, or Toad Valley Golf Course in Pleasant Hill, golfers can hit the links throughout the region.
For a change of pace, Jack enjoys a game of pickup basketball at one of the many local courts. Indoor courts can be found at YMCA locations across the region or the MidAmerican Energy Rec Plex in West Des Moines. When the weather is nice (which is often!), Martin Luther King Jr Park in Des Moines and Valley View Park in West Des Moines offer full courts.
When it comes to food, Jack’s favorite DSM spot is the Palms DSM, a restaurant featuring dishes with West African-Caribbean flavors. “Palms DSM represents my community with class, flavor and uniqueness,” Jack says. “The food, music and culture are outstanding.”
