I love DSM because it has a bit of everything for everyone!

The Iowa State Fair, which takes place every August, is one of Kate’s DSM favorites! This 11-day fair attracts over a million people from all over the world. Activities at the fair include concerts, amusement park rides, ag experiences and, of course, food!

Another favorite spot for Kate is the Iowa Events Center in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). Whether it's Disney on Ice, a comedy show, a concert, or a sporting event, catching a performance at the Iowa Events Center is always a great time.

New to DSM in 2025, Pause Studio in West Des Moines has quickly become one of Kate’s favorite spots. This wellness studio offers a variety of services, including flotation therapy, cryotherapy, LED light therapy, and more.
