I love Oskaloosa because it’s a community that truly brings people together. From family-friendly activities and events that create lasting memories to the beautiful parks and trails perfect for outdoor fun. There’s always something to enjoy in Oskaloosa!
When Deann wants to be outside, you may find her on the Mahaska Community Recreation Trail which spans over 13 miles. The trail loops around Oskaloosa and University Park in Mahaska County passing through fields, parks, golf courses and woodlands.
Deann and her family get to experience small town living with big city amenities due to the newly opened Trio Entertainment Complex which has become a favorite for her family. The complex provides a space for pickleball, golf, tennis, food, drink and films.
Oskaloosa’s community events are another one of Deann’s favorites. All year long, there are activities for all ages. Deann looks forward to Friday After Five events, Art on the Square, Sweet Corn Serenade, Turn on the Lights and the Lighted Christmas Parade.
