Des Moines has that small town feel and if you’ve been around a while, you’ll likely see someone you know everywhere you go.
One of Holly’s favorite things about living in DSM is the recreational sports scene. The city of Des Moines offers adult sport programs year-round including basketball, volleyball, flag football, kickball, pickleball and softball. She recommends these leagues as a great way to meet people and get involved in the community. (And cities throughout the region offer similar programming, making it easy for residents to find leagues to join in their own backyards.)
When she’s not on the court or field, Holly spends time with her dog at the local dog parks. Several communities in the region operate dog parks through their parks and recreation departments. For something different, visit Paws & Pints, where dogs and their owners can socialize in a space that combines a dog park and a bar.
As a realtor, Holly enjoys getting to know communities across the region, but she has a special appreciation for neighborhoods in Des Moines. From Beaverdale and Ingersoll to Highland Park, she loves exploring what makes each area unique.
