As a transplant from the East Coast, I have found this community to be very welcoming and accessible, making it a great place to raise a family and build a business.
For Jon, one of the best parts of living in DSM is the easy access to outdoor adventure. On any given weekend, you might find him hiking, kayaking or trail running at Saylorville Reservoir or exploring the trails at Walnut Ridge Recreation Area. Jon also enjoys mountain biking through the natural areas along the Des Moines River, taking every opportunity to get outside.
The local food scene is another reason Jon loves calling DSM home. Among his go-to sports are Eatery A, known for its Mediterranean-inspired dishes and wood-fired pizza made with locally sourced ingredients, and Centro, which offers classic Italian fare paired with a great wine selection in a relaxed yet refined setting.
